That's torn it - 2020
It's late 2019, and set during the early stages of Brexit, Breezy gets to work on the new, as yet untitled, album. The 23rd studio album. That's torn it started out with the leftovers from the previous album - Insert. Three tracks on this album had been either a work in progress or an abandoned idea from the 2019 project. By early 2020 more tracks were in progress but something, that would be far more serious, was looming. The world was changing and for everyone it was never going to be the same again. Well, that's torn it (Putting it mildly)
Tracks such as "Fin del mondo" & "Mild peril" sum this up, then throw in "Too many passwords" a #firstworldproblem and "Head in the clouds" how many people reacted it is very much a feeling of the time. "Start again" speaks for itself
The album itself is made up of a mix of Techno, EDM, Big beat and ambient tracks with influences from Moby to the Chemical Brothers.
Album cover art, consists of stock photo with some rips and the now almost iconic "Breezy" in the bottom left. Further rips are evident throughout the rest of the packaging from CD, to track listing.

1. Start again (Reprise intro): For the first time in a long time, the album does not open up with the long intro, instead, we have the short intro (a la I would if I could but I can't) See "Start again - extended version" for more information.
2. That's torn it: For the second album running (See Insert) we have a track named after the album. Upbeat hi-energy synth pop track. Oddly the track was a political commentary on the state of the world and had the working title "Politika" and came complete with some lyrics. The political theme was essentially around Brexit and the confusion around it, sadly my vocal was somewhat lacking and the track became an instrumental. Pulsing bass, swirling synths and some dramatic cymbal crashes all contribute to the Breezy music manifesto.
3. Too many passwords: This track title had been floating around the Breezy studio for sometime. It's about the frustration of the first world problem of passwords. Many of the websites I use have the same password as I've been on them for a long time, as the www expands we are being asked for more complex passwords meaning one now has to remember more passwords, must contain a number etc etc. Rant over.
This is a Techno track based solely around the sample "That is incorrect, try again"

4. Fin del mondo: Covid-19, shootings in U.S, Brexit to name but a few (& not necessarily in that order) Is this the end of the world? Dark & brooding this track sums it all up, the world is on fire and nobody seems able to get a grip on any of the issues.
5. Inside the quantum bubble: Could we go back in time and right the wrongs? Inspired by Ant-man/marvel & Moby (interesting combo), this ambient track broods along with a sense of intrigue and uncertainty. The monotone vocal is supplied by me! Yes me! ITQB as it was known throughout the production process, also has an accompanying lyric video, which will appear below. Bubble...
6. Busy schizz: Off theme, had been a potential track title for some time and had to be a high octane, drum 'n' bass meets techno effort. Pulsing bass and melody, rapid percussion and a vocal sample, busy, busy, busy! Breaks up the darker tone of the album.
7. Ghost code: One of the floater tracks, from the previous album, this ambient track has been kicking around the Breezy studio for quite sometime. Was originally positioned as track 13, the last track and if you have heard some of the last tracks on previous albums, you would get why. What is the ghost code? It's alternative, a mish-mash of sounds and FX.
8. The King of Skegness: Again we pop off theme for this track. Who is the King of Skegness, well, Skegness is a seaside resort on the East coast of England and really is a lovely place. However, there is a gentleman who frequents my local pub, who also has a residence in Skegness and all he does is go on and on about it. He has therefore been proclaimed as the King of Skegness. In my head the King of Skegness wanders around the town shaking hands with everyone, hugging them and generally being nice, or is he? You decide...
9. Lacklustre: Or lockdown syndrome - as Covid-19 takes it's grip on the UK, lockdown measures are put in place. As the lockdown period continues, the will of the nation is drained. No-one can be bothered, no-one wants to do anything, because they can't do anything. Downbeat & downtempo, groaning vocal sample, do we have to? Really? I really can't be bot.......
10. Profligacy: Just 3 definitions of profligacy - shameless dissoluteness. reckless extravagance. great abundance. As lockdown in the UK was announced, to prevent the spread of Covid -19, the country went f***ing nuts! Panic buying. Loo rolls, hand sanitizer, flour, yes flour? went in such short supply.
Another giddy techno/EDM track, reflecting the mad hysteria which grabbed some the country.

11. Mild peril: As word of the pandemic broke on the other side if the world, no-one in Europe really batted an eyelid. Little did we know what was heading our way. We went about our business as normal, as it moved closer no-one reacted, no-one anticipated the seriousness of what was to come. This track is a steady plodding repeating little track, with worldly elements chucked in. Yet,it's there, that warning, that niggling nudge, but no-ones really listening are they?
12. Head in the clouds: Lockdown gets lifted and things return to normal. NO NO NO NO NO! We have not gone back to normal people, what is wrong with you? People rush to the parks & beaches in their thousands, the pubs re-open and look where we are now? "Running round with your head in the clouds" is the non-existent lyric on this banging techno track.
13. Tempus fugit: Or time flies as they say. Another upbeat track, just a Latin phrase I like. Off theme here. In Leeds, there was a famous Jeweller & watchmaker called "Dysons" on the outside of the building was a clock and below the clock it read "TEMPUS FUGIT" I remember this very vividly. I was only small, we would get off the bus near it having been to my Grandmas. Seems like only a few years ago, it's now a restaurant! Time flies!
14. Start again (Extended version): Now here's a little story. I purchased "Dig your own hole" by the Chemical brothers on vinyl (I had it on CD already, but did want the vinyl version) I listened to it a lot! This song as it is supposed to be a song, is my take on "Where do I begin?" Whilst the tune is different I could not get the lyric to not sound the same, here's my version -
Woke up this morning in a state
Nothing feels right, I'm so irate.
Outside the wind blows the sideways rain
Can I go back to bed and start again
Sadly I chose not to use the lyric.
I liked the idea of the track finishing the album and then starting the album again, so it replaced "Ghost code"
